Help the German Shepard Rescue of the Rockies


On October 1st, 2011, GSROR will host the “Octoberfest Yard Sale,” so if you are cleaning out your closets and emptying out your drawers, keep us in mind to donate your items to. Things we are looking for are books, toys, knick-knacks, tools, small furniture, garden items, dishware, utensils, etc.  Pretty much anything you don't want laying around your home, however, no clothes please.

If you would like to donate to our yard sale, please reply to this email to arrange for one of our volunteers to pick-up your items.  This will save you a trip to the good will stores. 

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.  Please remember that all proceeds from our sales go directly to costs associated with the rescue of another German Shepherd.

My name is Mickey and I am a volunteer with German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies.  We want to thank all of you for your continuous support, but now I’m going to cut right to the chase.  Our 501c3 paperwork is completed and we are ready to file with the IRS.  The benefit will be exponential, qualifying us for government grants, dog food donations and foster daycare programs. Most of our overhead has paid for veterinary care and the escalating boarding costs while establishing a bank of foster homes. The day we receive our 501 status the majority of our boarding costs will cease which seems to have put a dent in our finances. We are talking free doggie daycare, and that’s huge!  We are proud to announce that in just 5 months we have saved 28 dogs and have re-homed 19 of them. Thanks to the help and support of all of you.

I know we have been bombarding you with fundraisers, but as you are probably well aware, the first year of a new rescue presents the greatest hurdles. What I’m about to ask you is for your indulgence once again. One five-dollar donation will allow us to pay the $800.00 fee required to file our paperwork with the IRS. Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated, The reduction in overhead PER YEAR will be in excess of $4,800.00. This truly will be the gift that keeps on giving and thank you in advance, for your support and generosity.
