JULY 30, 2011 - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Please come on by and check them out. Gorgeous dogs, which are white instead of the normal German Shepherd markings and therefore, not accepted as an official breed. Don't we all sometimes feel like we don't fit in, but are the best peeps in the world?

2nd Annual Blackhawk Boxer Dash

If anyone has anything they would like to donate, i.e. sports seats, travel, home business vouchers, handcrafted items, etc...please send an email to Leslie Nixon @ parkerpuppyluv@yahoo.com or Alison Treece @ alsquared@comcast.net .

We would love to have some volunteers help with the following:

- Set up and/or tear down (Aug. 27th only)
- Check in (Aug. 27th)
- Advertising & publicity
- Getting donations of items, gift certificates, etc..for our silent auction & raffle
- Gift basket assembly (pre-event)

Please contact Alison or Leslie if you have some time to assist with any of these areas. We learned a lot from last year's event and want to make this one bigger and better for everyone.

If anyone has contacts with any local restaurants, sports teams, pet supply stores or any other retail establishments, please ask them if they would consider making a donation of a gift certificate or an item to our silent auction and raffle. We can provide the donor with a tax deduction receipt and recognition at the silent auction of their generosity.

Foothills Animal Shelter has been in its new location for nearly one year!

If you are out with your pets in the hot weather, a good thing to do is stop at a Gootimes and get a PawBender for them.  It is frozen custard, peanut butter and dog biscuits.

And that’s not all – while your furry friend enjoys their day we will provide you with a hot dog and beverage to enjoy while you watch the fun unfold!

Grey Kitty Annual Birthday Party and Animal Rescue Event

What:	This event will feature 25 pet and animal resuce groups, bringing animals that are available for adoption. There will be vendors, pet treats, pet merchandise, gardening activities and craft items. Birthday cake and lemonade will be served too.

CARE - Wine Tasting

	The Empty Bottle Saturday, July 16th 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM CARE is Colorado Animal Rescue Express and each year they transports 100's of dogs & even cats from KS, NE, MO, and AL to the safety of rescues in Colorado. They've brought several lucky Weims to us so I hope you will consider joining us at these events...without CARE, we would not be able to save so many dogs in need. This is a wine tasting and appetizers fun event! The Empty Bottle is located at: 1886 South Pearl Street, Denver There is a suggested donation of $20/per person (which wine and appetizers).  Please email CARE with the name of people attending. Angels with Paws Benefit

	A Night of Dance to Benefit Angels with Paws Friday, July 15 Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. Lakewood Link Recreation Center, 1295 South Reed Street Lakewood, CO $10 for Adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
